ADR Refresher Training Course

2.5 Day ADR Refresher Course £325 (excluding VAT)

This ADR Refresher Course is suitable for drivers who are wanting to keep their existing ADR certificate (card) valid. An ADR Driver Training Card is valid for five years from the date of issue. This can be extended during the final twelve months of validity for a further period of five years, from the date of expiry, by the holder undertaking and pass-ing the appropriate refresher training and examinations.

Candidates may only refresh the qualifications they currently hold. You can add extra dangerous goods classes to your ADR driver card at any time by taking optional training modules and tests by attending an ADR initial training course for the relevant module. A benefit of the ADR Refresher course is the shorter duration and lower cost. However, the driver is eligible for fewer Driver CPC hours.

To allow the new qualification to be processed, the candidate should have at least 6 weeks remaining on their current ADR card. As well as being SQA approved, this course is also JAUPT approved and refresher course qualifies for up to 14 hours of periodic CPC training (DCPC), meaning that you can claim Driver CPC tuition from the course.

This course will take place in one of our classrooms in Runcorn and prepares candidates for the SQA ADR Vocational Training Certificate Examinations. We are approved for the completion for the online exams set by SQA using laptops that we will provide. Results are issued at the end of the course and typically receive their ADR vehicle driver card within a week.

• Class 3 – Flammable liquids
• Class 4 – Flammable Solids, Spontaneously Combustible and Dangerous when Wet
• Class 5 – Oxidizers and Organic Peroxides
• Class 6 – Toxic and Infectious Substances
• Class 8 – Corrosives
• Class 9 – Miscellaneous
• Tanks

The SQA examinations are taken on final third day. If you only require certain classes, then you will not need to com-plete every module unless only attending the training hours for CPC. For each module there is an £20 SQA exam fee, these are exempt from VAT. Chemfreight DGT offer Initial and Refresher ADR training courses each month.

The modules taken are entirely your choice, please do not hesitate to contact us and we would be happy to discuss your specific requirements. Mobile accreditation allows us to deliver ADR courses onsite at Company premises where suitable facilities are available, the exams can still be online. This can be a cost-effective option for clients with sufficient candidate numbers, please enquire for further details and prices.
